MEMBERSHIP

Becoming a member of Cambridge Yacht Club is a great way to expand the opportunities offered by our sailing program, and get the most out of the sport. With a variety of different memberships for youth, individuals, adults, and families, there is something for everyone!

 

Membership to Cambridge Yacht Club entitles you to:

 

• Participate in all club activities (including racing)

• Be an affiliated member to Yachting New Zealand
  (Allowing members to officially race at any N.Z. yacht club race, series, or regatta)

• Sailing training available by Yachting New Zealand certified Instructors and Coaches for all members over the age of 8 years

• Regular summer sailing
  - twilight Learn to Sail programmes Tuesday evenings,
  - twilight club coaching Tuesday evenings
  - weekend sailing when lake is available
  *Club race fees may apply

• Z420 youth training program

• Use all Cambridge Yacht Club facilities that are available
  Such as - hot showers, kitchen facilities, hire-age of club owned boats/lifejackets and boat storage

• Use of club owned yachts:

  • Single handed
    Plastic LTS Optimists, Racing Optimists
    P-Class, Starling, Splash, Laser,

  • Two person
    Yamaha 13, Z420
    Racing Optimist Charter

• Boat storage inside, space is limited.
  (Centreboard monohulls only)
  Boat storage outside (no charge)
